“I notice if I come to a Feldenkrais® class too excited or on edge, the class has a very calming effect on me. On the other hand if I come feeling tired and lethargic it picks me up and by the end I feel very alert and raring to go and do things. Also, it always amazes me how much more mobile I am at the end of a class.”

During a Feldenkrais® class you will learn to explore movement in a similar way you learned to move as a baby. As adults, returning to this way of learning, gives us the opportunity to create new movements; learn better-quality movements; and re-examine movements we haven’t done since childhood. As a result you will learn to improve your flexibility; skeletal alignment; and your movement organization.
You will develop self-awareness, physically, spatially, and emotionally. This growth will allow you to sense how you move during your sport, or recreational activities, as well as in your life. It will allow you to help yourself, by feeling when your movement habits may cause injury. It will give you the freedom to choose to move in the ways that you want, or in technical ways that is required for a specific activity or art form.
Feldenkrais® students report that their overall ease of movement improves with each class. Healthier self-image, improved emotional well-being, and reduced stress levels, are other benefits students experience.
